Cinemalaya, is a yearly independent film festival held at the Cultural Center of Philippines. They aim to encourage Filipino filmmakers to boldly and freely express themselves through their work. Every year 10 filmmakers are chosen and given a seed grant to used to produce the "film of their dreams." Now on its fifth year, Cinemalaya Cinco proved to be a huge success and a highlight for the film industry.
