Hi Catherine! Thanks so much for your comment. I'm glad you liked this episode. :-) To answer your question...YES! These can be used on all skin types...since it's made of all natural ingredients, it's very gentle on your skin.

Which ingredients are having trouble finding? If you want a cheaper substitute for lemon, you can also try calamansi. ;-)

Thanks for watching & commenting!

Hello there Chrina, I would like to get the procedure for all those home made facials and if it is applicable to all skin types. I'm really thankful for those tips.
I just notice in those home made facials when you search it to net I notice that the ingredients were sometimes not affordable or I don't know where can I get it. But the tips that you gave in this episode is actually you can find it at home or you can easily see it at the grocery stores.
And also I like all of your episodes. ^_^

Hi I'm Cjei and I am a 20 y/o student nurse. The consumption of adequate water everyday is the most effective way of keeping my skin healthy. We all know that our body weight is made of 65% water and so we really need it to keep it moistured especially for me that I always work out. Plus, it helps the body maintain its regular function. Moreover, it is readily available for everyone. The amount of water to be consumed depends on a person's body weight.

OMG, I so love the episodes of the girl next door. I have been watching this since its first show. Go Chrina!:-)

Thanks for this great feature! :)
When I was young, i remember my mom making some of these homemade remedies. And now I am grateful that she was able to pass on to me the value of nourishing my skin inside and out.
Skin care does not really have to be so expensive, and I salute all the people who selflessly share their cheap but effective beauty regimen. The tips that I like most about this feature are the skin lightener for irregular pigmentation and facial hair growth reducer. I am now in my early 30’s and I know that through these simple steps I would be able to preserve my youthful skin.
Just one additional tip — Always stay happy and everything else will follow :)

This is a great feature :) The recipes are quite unique, especially the last one (hair growth reducer), which I will try soon!

An important skin care tip for me is year round sun protection (not just during the summer). While I believe in getting a dose of Vitamin D from minimal sun exposure is good, and I love the beach...sun protection is essential! Prolonged sun exposure (without protection) can damage your skin. At its worst, it could turn to skin cancer. The sun is one of the biggest causes of aging. A few minutes every day can add up over the years. Skin aging comes in many forms - leathery skin, uneven skintone, loose skin, wrinkles, age spots, etc. In terms of choosing sunblock, it must have broad spectrum protection because SPF is not enough! In due time, your skin will thank you for it :)

You can also use milk for your face! Before sleeping, moisten a cotton with milk after you wash your face. Make sure you remove all your make up before doing so. Leave it for a minute or so (you can start brushing your teeth when you got bored) then wash your face thoroughly. After that, of you go to your regular bedtime regimen! :-) A few more tips for oily skin, skim milk is for you. And then, hello baby face! :-)

I miss you Ms. Chrina! :-)

Cool episode! Very interesting and exciting to try the tips. What I love the most is the fact that the ingredients in these facials are very easy to find and apply. :)
As for me, my natural skin care regimen includes: 1) drinking 3 liters of water everyday (around 15 glasses) to keep my skin hydrated and moisturized and 2) always ensuring that I remove my makeup before going to sleep even if I'm really too tired and lazy to wash my face :D

I love this episode ate :) I learned new things! I wanted to try the honey, lemon and oatmeal for sunspot and the milk and cucumber for the eyes :)

Btw speaking of skin care, I started using oatmeal as a natural remedy for my skin when I got sun burn and rashes from the outings last summer. Oatmeal really works! Its so simple prepare an oatmeal(add warm water), sometimes I mixed a little milk then let it cool down for a while then apply it on your face for 10 mins. you can also add egg whites, honey, salt or sugar :) But it will be better that before applying it wash first your face then rinse it with warm water to let the pores open a bit then apply the oatmeal, after rinse with cold water to close the pores :) Oatmeal treats dry skin and other skin irritation (Exfoliate).

I use calamansi and powdered milk mixture as skin care remedy. :D It's simple, just mix calamansi and powdered milk until you achieve a creamy consistency. Apply it on your face and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes. After that, rinse it off with water. It will make your skin look brighter, pores finer and it dries up pimples. ;) - Fiona Alvero (fiona_alvero025@yahoo.com)
